Promoting international education by supporting international students in the U.S. and U.S. students who are looking for international experience is a core aim of the National Association of University Fisheries and Wildlife Programs (NAUFWP). The NAUFWP international committee maintains a list of funding opportunities for U.S.-based students seeking international experiences (accessible in the Members section) and is developing a strategic initiative to promote international education.

STRATEGIC INITIATIVE 6: INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Goal: Identify key issues in international education

• Conduct survey of fish and wildlife programs (members and non-members) – extent of international exchanges, opportunities, constraints, issues that NAUFWP can help address  

Goal: Raise visibility of international education in F&W university programs

• Showcase existing international links of members on NAUFWP website
• Highlight benefits of international education for F&W university programs and international studnets and scholars
